Since many weeks I saw my friend Niru playing IPL(Cric Xchange) app on Orkut using his wife's id as
Orkut Apps wasn't enabled for his id. I was wondering why Orkut hasn't enabled this new feature for everybody on Orkut, normally they choose random users and enable new features only to them. But this time, there was a pattern, only people in India had got this feature and very few people outside India, as far as I have observed. As per the usage, Orkut must have enabled this new feature to people in India and maybe Brazil too, as these are the two countries where there are highest users of Orkut.
This trick is for all those Indians who haven't got that feature..(not really a trick..just a…)
How to enable Orkut Applications for your profile?
1. Login to Orkut using your account
2. Edit your profile, change the country to India.
3. You will see a block on the left side below the profile photo called "Apps"
4. Click on Add and you will see a directory of the 'Applications'
5. Add Applications & njoy !

Ubuntu Guide explains on how to make backups of your digital media. Follow these simple steps to
create .iso disk images of your CD/DVD. This is not specific to Ubuntu, you can use the steps to create .iso and MD5 checksum files in any distro.
Steps :
Turn a CD/DVD into an .iso
sudo umount /dev/cdrom
dd if=/dev/cdrom of=file.iso bs=1024
Turn a folder into an .iso
mkisofs -r -o file.iso /location_of_folder/
Generate an MD5 checksum file
md5sum file.iso > file.iso.md5

I don't own ipod.Two days ago i had borrowed my friend's and it got stuck..completely frozen. Then i tried
out these to get it back….
If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on, it may be because iPod is paused or the Hold switch is in the locked position. If so, a lock symbol appears on the screen. Slide the Hold switch to the unlocked position and check the screen.
If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on, the steps to reset it vary by model. But this works with most of them.
Steps :
- Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
- Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
- After a few seconds, your device will reboot.

Youtube must have neglected the fact that a site's contents can be retrieved very easily even after removing them from their visible list. This is precisely what Delutube has done.
Delutube allows visitors to enter the video ID (pulled from YouTube) of a deleted clip, then attempts to retrieve the clip from YouTube's system. Clips are not completely deleted from YouTube's database at the moment they are taken down ( they remain in YouTube's cache before being cleared), allowing Delutube a chance of retrieving them. The site also allows for downloading of clips easily. They even have a random video for you on their site .
To view the deleted video, just enter the YouTube video id and Deltube may retrieve the deleted video for you from Youtube.

Compressing and encoding High Quality Video Using Vdub:
We have recorded the video at 6 Mbits (6000Kbps). With the help of DivX we can compress it to 1500kbps without affecting quality.
1. Remember to keep the settings we kept for TV Caps. For compressing High quality Videos u can use either DivX or Xvid codec. I prefer Divx as we are dealing with TV recorded Videos which need more workout.
2. Go to Video > Compression > Select DivX > Click Configure.

Microsoft always says it opposes "software pirates" who sell thousands of unauthorized
copies of Windows.
A security expert says Windows Vista can be run for at least a year without being activated, but Microsoft calls the process an antipiracy 'hack'.
Windows Vista can be run for at least a year without being activated, a serious end run around one of Microsoft's key antipiracy measures, Windows expert Brian Livingston said Thursday.
Livingston, who publishes the Windows Secret newsletter, said that a single change to Vista's registry lets users put off the operating system's product activation requirement an additional eight times beyond the three disclosed last month. With more research, said Livingston, it may even be possible to find a way to postpone activation indefinitely.
"The [activation] demands that Vista puts on corporate buyers is much more than on XP," said Livingston. "Vista developers have [apparently] programmed in back doors to get around time restrictions for Vista activation."
